Not saying lloyd isn't good, but a lot of times local shops do just as good a job and it's cheaper since you don't have to ship.

How many local shops have experience with LT1 heads, and will get you a cam to boot?

Advanced Induction
Combination Motorsports
Lingenfelter just to name a few more and all of them do good work. Just keep reading maybe make a few calls or emails and see who you feel comfortable with. The prices are becoming rather competitive too.
To some degree a porter does not need to know the specific head to do some improvement so a local can work, I mean no matter what the head the physics behind airflow are all the same, a good understanding of which and a porter can make some improvement to any OEM head thrown at him. Experiance with these exact castings really only becomes important if looking to really get a lot out of them.

eportworks/Lloyd Elliot and his cam grinder Bret are getting lots of good attention here and frequent these forums so you will find plenty of info without going too far, don't let that make you think there is only one choice though. This thread has barely scratched the surface as far as good LT1 porters.

You don't need experience with LT1's specifically to know how to make the heads flow good. And will you get a cam also? Possibly, depends on the shop.

Actually just because they are a 23° deg head doesn't mean they aren't unique. Knowing what you can and can't do on these heads is important to getting good flow out of them. The guys who port these heads for NHRA racing tend to agree with that.

This fuel **** guy makes me wonder.... anyone run his heads? or dyno them? anything?

Exactly. Different cooling passage layouts and knowing how to shape the intake/exhaust ports plus the chambers is more important than all out flow.

They are on my car. He's got stock LT1 castings flowing 300+CFM @.600 intake and like 250+CFM @.600 exhaust with NO pipe.
