Does Air Foil Work?

Just wondering if the so called Air Foil's work. I've seen one in a magazine that claims 11 hp and its $60, but ones on ebay are about $30-$40 ish. Do the work and if they do, how do they affect anything. Are they worth the money?
Thanks guys
Bill

When i bought mine it was supposed to add horsepower and seemed like it was supposed to go along with my CAI. I dynoed with it and without it and there was no difference in the hp and i didn't feel any difference either. If you can find one cheap i'd buy it but i would def. not spend 60 bucks on one.

Your not gonna notice a big difference in the air foil. Although every little bit adds up. Dont listen to everything you read in magazines. If all that were true I would have over 400hp.

Cool

If you can get one for about $15-$20 it's worth it. www.ws6.com dynoed 2 rwhp gain with one.
I highly suggest the hypertech unit since it fits the best hands down.
If they are of no use, you gotta think... Why do the major manufacturers intergrate them into the high $$$ throttle bodies ?

I put one on my last LT1 at the dragstrip, and picked up 0.5mph in trap speeds. So it's not worth 11hp, but 2 or 3. Not bad for a small investment really, some people spend $400 to $500 on some mods and only get those kinds of gains.
