Do you have to replace the opti after you do a cam swap????
Today I was talking with some people from LS1 Speed Inc, they said that if I were to do a cam swap, that it would be a good idea to change my opti at the same time. Is that true? Opti's don't come cheap, and that would kinda totally blow my budget for the mods I was planning on doing. My car has 55,000 miles on it. Still runs strong, so I personally don't see a need to spend almost $500 to replace it.

First of all i would like to point out that mine went out at 62K so it is possible, on the other hand............some people have had theirs last 100K without any trouble.........But when you do a cam, it is really easy to do the opti at the same time cause its right there..........so its really your call..........and its not a 500 dollar part......if you call jason cromer 1 850 243 8826, for him and he will sell it to you for like 220 or something ridiculously cheap like that........... I bought mine from him, he is a good guy.
