Also i got a quote of 350 to program my ECU for my setup including the cam for 350. Does this sound about right or will PCMforless.com do it for cheaper?

You are going to need tuning anytime you do a major mod like that, if you want all the performance out of it. It will probably run ok without it though.

You're not telling us any details about your car at all. (and your sig says you don't own an f-body )
You might get away with it for a little while if you have a 6 speed, but your car won't idle at all if you have an automatic.

Yes you will definitly want to get ur computer reprogramed after you put a cam in it, especially the 230/236. Some people have gotten away without tuning with the Hotcam, but thats a small cam. If you want the most out of the cam, then tune your car. Since you're from IL if you don't mind the drive, I would come out to Schaumburg to Speed Inc. and have them dyno tune your car when it's all done. BVPerformance also does a great job with tuning and both places will cost about $300-$400 depending on the tune.

I'm not a huge fan of mail order tuning...My buddy(WheelmanZ28) had BVPerformance tune his car and then switched to PCMforless, and his car ran far better with BV's tuning.
