DO i need to progrma the PCM if put on new gears

I am going from 2:73 - 3:42's I know for the spedo to be correct i need to program but will i be able to drive ok with out it? Will it shift correctly with out a new program?

it should shift ok during normal driving. WOT shift could hit the rev limiter in the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift.

1st off, go with 3.73's.


2nd. yes get it reprogrammed. Not only will your shift tables be wrong, but your speedo will be wrong as well. And your odometer will be racking up more miles then you are actually travling. I did this for about a month, and regret it. Added about 1,500 miles I never drove.

well i cant beat the price of the 3:42's or i would go w 3:73
