Do I need longer PushRods with GuidePlates?

I bought some 7.2's from CMotorsports, but my engine builder said if I plan to use guide plates I will need around 7.7's or something since they mover everything up. What do you guys think?

Guide plate wont affect the placement of the rockers so you'll be fine with 7.2" rods.
