Do I have to use a 95 trans in my 95

My original 4L60e trans has been long gone but I m going to put one back in my car . I know there are differences between the 94 and the 96-97 transmissions . Question is will a 94 or 96-97 E trans function properly in a 95 . I do have LT1_edit so if its a matter of running a correct year trans file I could accomplish that . If they dont work could you tell me why ?

Thanks for any input .

Use a 96 or a 97 tranny. The 94 tranny won't work due to the lack of PWM. You can probably get it to work, but you'll have to modify the harness and besides why bother with an older tranny anyway?

Sorry to interrupt, but hey.
I'm running a 94 LT1 w/96 transmission, no mods needed.
If you can save a few bucks, save them.
