Do i have to plug these bolts?

Took air pump off, left everything else hanging there while i find a bolt to plug tha manifolds. Will this cause any problems idling or anything with the holes just open and not plugged?

You'll have the exhaust leak from hell if you don't plug those holes. Either weld them shut or find some bolts to plug them up with...don't go driving it that way.

I just used some plastic caps that fit into the rubber hoses till I put on my headers. even with the one way valves still on the mann.s, it still leaked exh. you'll have to plug them with something.

Yeah bad idea to drive with them open, will give fooled O2 sensor readings and the car will run like A$$.

What year is your car? Many have used an M22 oil drain plug (single-cat cars) or an M18 (dual-cat cars). Even though the threads are not metric, at least on the single-cat cars, these plugs seem to work well.

The holes MUST be plugged before you run the engine.

Follow Injuneer's advice and try to type your thoughts in coherent/understandable sentences.

It's been a while, but you used to be able to get brass plugs from the hardware store.

Re: Do i have to plug these bolts?

I couldn't get my tubing off of the manifolds either, and I tried everything. For a temp fix, I took some of the tubing down to a local hardware store, and bought huge screws that fit into the tubing. I then put high temp gasket maker all over the threads, and screwed it into the tubing after having cut the tubing at the manifold bung. I then gooped more gasket maker around the screws, and I was fine until I came up with a solution.

Unfortunately, my solution wasn't any sexier -I took 1.5 inch bolts that wouldn't quite fit into the tubing, and then ground about .5 inch of the tip end down, so the bolt would then fit into the tubing. I then coated it with hightemp gasket maker, placed it into the hole, and then rammed it all the way home, so just the bolt head is showing. Probably not the best fix, but it did work.
