Do i have bad rings????Please help

Ok car is a 1994 z28 a4.105k.I came home the other day and noticed a oil burning smell.Pop the hood and there is some oil under the filler tube.I decide to take it off to wipe down and there is a little smoke coming outa the oil filler hole not alot just a little(car is off).I start the car and more smoke comes outa the hole and the dipstick tube.I cannot here any noise and it does not seem to be puffing just kinda pouring out.Is there supposed to be any suction there cause i didnt have any.I pull the pcv and it has suction and there is also smoke coming out that hole too.The pcv hose seems fine i pulled it off the hose and the idle died down. There is a tiny slit on the hose where it meets the valve but it doesnt seem to be leaking or affecting it at all. Also when i rev the engine the smoke increases.I havent lost any power and i am not losing any oil. Please what could this be i dont have the $ for a damn rebuild!

ok i looked at some diagrams and my pcv system looks nothing like these. From the pcv it goes into a 180 degree hose and it plugs into something right next to it.All these other diagrams shows it going into the front of the tb..Did someone mess this up?????

93-94 have the u-bend you're talking about

remove the pcv valve and check it (see if it rattles)

If the vacuum hose for the PCV valve is cracked, it needs to be replaced. The system doesn't work without a vacuum source.

some smoke is normal after a very hard run , but if ur seing it all the time u may have some ring wear, best thing to do is do a compression test. also see how much air is being pushed out of the filler neck too .

does it matter what pcv valve i use??I saw somewhere someone saying to put a gm one in.I have a autozone one does that matter? The guy i work with mentioned that the car seems to be running very hot idk if that matters cause these cars run hot anyways.I changed the oil today still does it.

Many of the aftermarket PCV valves don't fit correctly. The GM/AC-Delco one does. If the valve is snug in the grommet, you should be ok.

No these cars don't run hot. Sounds like your cooling system needs to be serviced
