Not sure, but if you plan on ordering those springs with ID locator's, I have a set of 978's that require ID locators and are good to .600 lift (according to my machinist). I went with beehives instead, but I'm selling those springs for $60 shipped. I paid like 130 for them. Dual coil style.

Question

Well i already have the springs, retainers and just need the locks, locators and the seals. I was looking at comps master catalog and it showed that the locators for 987's were N/A and only listed the part # for shims, also will the standard umbrella valve seal work? I do not want to have to machine the guides for the teflon seals. Heads are atill on the car and am getting ready to install a cc306 with comp pro mags (1.6).

Hardened shims will protect the heads though they will get a little beat up. Standard seals will work ok IF they will fit inside the springs. You don't need Comps locater, any ones that is the right size will work.

When I had 987's I used comp 740 locks.

The locators you need are 4771-16
