Lightbulb DIY LCAs?

I saw on SLP's site about their boxed LCAs and they said they modified them with 1/8 inch steel to "box" the arms. My thought is, couldn't I just take my stock LCAs and do the same thing to make a cheap alternative that'll still help traction? I could just get poly bushings from an aftermarket source and voila...the same thing as SLP's LCAs for alot less. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a plan - but you may want to toss in some zerk fittings so you can grease the poly bushings as well. Just a thought.

That is all SLP did. You'll want to change the bushings also.
