Ditch A/C yes or no?

I cut my A/C line the other day taking out the AIR system. Freon went everywhere obviously, it just kept squirting out till it emptied. I seriously am thinking about just taking my whole A/C system out because I never use it. The only times I use it is for cooling off the interior on a really hot day, but other than that I just open the windows. Should I take the A/C out on a daily driver?

Heh, I knew someone would say that. I was attempting to ask if anyone has really done this on a daily driver and if they liked it. There ARE a lot of threads about if they should remove it or keep it, but no one said if it was on a daily driver or not. Anyone that has a daily driver like it/not like it?

Hey man, sorry to hear that. But I would think its really personal preference. Do you use AC everyday? Would you die without? I myself, love my AC and wouldn't pull it out. But if you think you'll be alright, go ahead and pull it out.

If it is damaged and you feel you dont need it, then yank the system out. It will shed a good number of pounds and clean up the engine bay as well.

I am the same way.....I never used it.
To me personally air conditioning belongs in your house and on a cadillac, not in a Hot Rod. Many will disagree with me on that one but thats my take on it.

something to remember, with no AC the defrost will suck. If you ever need it.

I'm running a 1LE A/C Delete pulley on my '94 Z28. I had a bad bearring in the compressor that I chose not to replace the compressor, just to replace it with the pulley. I live in FL and I can promise you it gets extremely hot. It doesn't bother me much anymore. My biggest complaint when I wish I had A/C is when it is either raining or extremely humid. Obviously when its raining you have to drive with the windows up, and then it just gets hotter the windows begin to fog up from the inside.

It is ultimately up to you. Honestly because it IS a daily driver I'd say just keep it in there. It didn't phase me because my a/c never really worked 100% from day 1, so it wasn't much of a loss anyways.
