You dont know what the AFR is and that could help out. Plus that jagged look of the graph Ive been told is detonation so you have too much timing or not enough fuel.

Why are the numbers so drastically different between the 2 runs?

Some things to check…
- TB to intake bore (already mentioned)
- Cam degree (already mentioned)
- Check for knock (already mentioned several times)
- TB opening 100% at WOT
- Exhaust leaks
- Fresh 93 octane gas
- Clean k&n air filer
- good (properly gapped) spark plugs
- Tires properly inflated

IMO, it’s got all the right parts, just something (combined w/ the extreme heat) isn’t totally right. Good Luck

Bret,
i mentioned to Scott last thurs. on how he degree's the cams when he puts 'em in, and he said put it in straight up.

Colin,
not sure on compression yet

TurboZ,
here's the new graph I had scott make, first one didn't show A/F, and here's the same graph w/ the A/F ratio;

LT4POWR,
scott and I talked about your car for awhile, he showed me your graphs, nice numbers man, i hope to make it up there soon w/ the power thanks for all the help, and I'll be checking basically everything you mentioned.

as someone else mentioned, it looks like the parts are there, just better weather, ported intake and more tuning could do it.

He answered that earlier, and its shown on the graph... one is the engine before the heads/cam, apparently in 4/22/05. The other is the current pull, with the heads and cam 8/06.

Where the cam is trying to peak, your a/f is around 14.0:1. That needs to be down around 12.8:1 or so. That would be some power right there.

A/F isn't that bad, really. it's just something else holding me back. I don't think it's the tune, just something mechanical. I'm thinking airflow w/ the intake not being ported.

we'll keep working on it tho

Unless your injectors or fuel pump aren't keeping up, the a/f adjustments are part of the tune.

Not an expert, but could the jagged readout be the dyno? I would ask to see printouts of other cars from the same dyno and see if they all are jagged as well. If they are, then I'd assume it was the dyno.

I don't see any listing of headers or modded exhaust. Are you running stock exhaust?

dude, if you like your motor at all, get that a/f around 13.0 accross the board, expecially since you are going to spray it. 14.0 a/f n/a then spray=boom.

To me it Looks like the graph shows his AFR IS about 13:1 across the rpm range

Yeah, but at 5200 rpm, the line starts to creep up and before you know it, the cam is trying to peak with an a/f of ~14:1.
