directions on easiest wat to tuneup lt1?
Re: directions on easiest wat to tuneup lt1?
take the headers off, replace with some pace setter or slp style mids...then you'll have plenty of clearance for access to plugs.
it took me almost 4.5 hours to change plugs with stock manifolds on...now i can do it in less than an hour with easy access with OTVC wires.

There is no "tune up" per se.... you just need to replace the components that have exceded their design life:
-plugs
-wires
-air filter
-fuel filter
-tranny filter (A4)
-PCV valve
-oil
-differential lube
-tranny fluid (A4 or M6)
-brake fluid
-clean throttle body
-O2 sensors
Some items, like the Opti have a highly variable life.... some of them seem to die in a few thousand miles, others have gone over 150,000 miles without changing it.
The coils tend to be weak, and can be replaced.
The IC Module may be suffering from heat stress, and as a minimum should be spaced off the head more.
Do you have indications of any problems you are trying to solve, or are you just looking for a list of preventative maintenance items that will prevent/minimize future problems?
Might want to add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, tranny, any major mods. That will help people answer your questions more accurately, since not all years of the LT1 are the same.
