dipstick tube broke in half

I was changing the oil the other day and the dipstick tube literally broke in half. what is the best way to replace this? do i need to drop the oil pan? i also have new poly motor mounts would this be a good time to change those out as well?

I removed my tube when installing headers. It slides in, mine was a bear to remove the first time. But yeah, I would do this with the motor mounts while your under there.

There's one screw holding a flange on the tube to the block. Might take a little work to pull it out, but since it's broken already you can put some vise grips or something on it. A screwdriver might help to pry it out of the block too.

Before you put the new one in, put it in the freezer overnight so it shrinks a little bit.

It's also a good idea to clean any oil of the block where the tube slides in and use some RTV to seal up where the tube and block meet.

Good time to buy a Lokar flexible one to replace it.
