Dip Stick Leak

Some of you know, after my rebuild i plugged my dip stick hole with a screw and silicon, well its leaking. Before you all say i told you so, what do you think i should do? JBWELD it? or buy a dip stick?

If you can't figure that out....................never work on your car again!! Why would anyone take out there dip stick???? That's insane.

How do you plan on knowing how much oil you have in your engine? I promise oneday you'll wish you had one. Just go to the junkyard and pick one up...........they can't be that much. JMHO

I've replaced my dipstick tube a couple of times due to being mangled while removing/installing headers. They run about $20 brand new from the dealer and about $10-$15 from Jason C or GMPartsDirect.

Really it’s a seriously bad idea to run any car without knowledge of the oil levels. It’s doubly bad on a performance car.

Cars don't leak from the factory...........so why do they have dipsticks?????
