Difference in single pattern and dual pattern cams?

Just as the title says. I know most of the newer cars are running the dual pattern cams. I have heard that a single pattern cam will give you more power than a dual as far as torque is concerned. Will a single pattern cam work in a fuel injected car?

single pattern cams work great on a car with excellent exhaust flow which chevies suffer from not having. You can use a single pattern if you have a low restriction exhaust w/o ported heads or with ported. they can make more power if you have the above mods if not go with dual which means higher lift on the exhaust.
