Difference between 93 6 spd throttle body and 94 Impala throttle body
Here's the deal. I have a LT1 out of a 94 impala that I will eventually put into my 85 trans am. I was wondering if it would be possible use a throttle body from a 93 or if the sensors and such were different. I have a 700R4 so I would need the spot to connect the tv cable. I was also wondering if they made different throttle bodies for the auto's and manual's in 93 or if they used the same one. If they used the same one and the different years are compatable, my cousin has a 93 LT1 and T56 that he will be putting in. I havent been able to check and see if his has the spot for a tv cable even though it came with a 6 speed or not. I have my doubts on that but I have also found someone who might be willing to trade me a 93 auto throttle body if they are comatable and I pay shipping. Does anyone know what will or wont work?
Thanks
Ben

Ok, back to the question. What I was wondering is if the electronics between the 2 are compatable. If so I plan on using one from a 93 so that I can use my 700R4.
My other question was if the manual and auto throttle bodies were different in 93 or if they both had the spot for the tv cable even though the manual didnt use it. I asked on thirdgen.org and a guy that has swapped a 93 LT1 into his thirdgen RS said that the 6 speeds did have the spot for it, it just wasnt used. If this is the case my cousin has a 93 w/ six speed and I could probably swap throttle bodies with him.
Is there any difference in the 93 and the 94+ throttle bodies other than the fact that they have different hook ups for the cables? Are they the same cfm and do they use the same sensor?
Thanks

So, how does this bracket attatch? Does someone have a picture. Does can this piece be ordered and put on a 93 6 speed throttle body or even on a 94+. T talked to someone on thirdgen.org that said that the 93 manual tranny cars had the spot for the tv too. I dont know if he had an auto or manual, but he had a 93 LT1 in his 91 RS.

I forgot to mention that there is a little button on the shaft of the throttlebody that the TV cable clips to.
You can fashion your own type of connector and weld it on I guess.
I'm sure you could get the bracket from a dealership or a wrecker.
If you can't find a pic by the weekend let me know and I'll take some pics for you.
I'll borrow my fiance's digi cam on friday.
