Don't worry they didn't screw you that bad. They did me worse, they screwed me out of $1000.00. I will never buy anything from them again. They have the worst customer service and the majority of them are idiots that know nothing about cars.

That is your oil pressure sending unit, and it looks like it's been snapped off. I did that to mine when I changed my headers. It's a $30 part. It screws into a port above the filter, and should stick out of the back to the motor just above the oil filter, or from teh side of the motor above the filter depending on the year. That's your leak, coming from the part that's still screwed into the port.

What the flying f*** were the pep boys guys doing near there when working on the e-brake?

I don't know but their manager is going to get a phone call. Possibly a nasty one depending on what he has to say. Because my oil pressure gauge was also working fine before I took it in there.

Do you have a pic? when I was feeling around in there I could feel some threads (possibly where the pressure sending unit screws into) but I just want to be sure. Thanks again for all your help! I don't know what I'd do without you guys!

Infortunately, I don't have a pic. The screw port for the sending unit should be less than 3 inches above the oil filter either on the side of the motor or the rear of the motor. You're probably feeling it. You should be able to get in there with a pair of pliers and get the old piece out. Oh, drain your oil before doing this, or you'll have more leaking while there's nothing plugging that hole.

Like it was stated before, that's a picture of your oil pressure sending unit for a 1993 LT1. The change is real easy, and I think we changed one on a 93 without draining the oil. *shrug*

We must be talking about 2 different things. The part I'm talking about can't reach that high. Plus it's already unplugged and not leaking. It just leaks when I start it up.

The pic you are showing seems to look like the oil level sensor, it should be located in the pan above the drain plug. On a 93 the oil pressure sensor is located right above te oil filter.

Depending on the location of what you have broken that is your answer. No biggie just swap it out. If it is the oil level sensor it is a little tricky but it will wiggle out of the pan.

Ya, no need to drain the oil. It's just a pain to get to on the 93+ cars with the LT1 since it is behind the intake.

Ok. On my 95 and 96 LT1's it was on the top.
The part on mine looks just like the part in the picture you supplied.

That IS the oil pressure sending unit on the 93s and on my 94. I broke mine off just like that. You should have noticed the oil pressure being off the gauge with unplugged.
It pouring out of the block means that the threaded part is not in the block. I just removed mine while messing with the LTs and no oil dripped out. Go to Advance/autozone and get a new one. save that one to plug that hole when you begin other projects that it might have to be removed.

The question I would ask them is how that got broke doing an Ebrake. They are on opposite ends.

When i broke mine a few years ago, this board had no idea what it was, even the local GM store gave me the wrong thing, finally took it to the Advance Auto store and they had what i needed. been reading well.

Email me if you need more assistance.

I'm still not exactly sure where it plugs into. I felt around and found nothing it could plug into and also if I get a new one how do I hook up the wires to it? I don't see a way to get it out

Here are a couple of pictures of the side of my engine.
Someone show him where it goes, I am not sure myself.

In this pic it should go where the dark plug is at.

you should be able to feel the hole.

Are you sure that the original broke off piece is out? it will be hard to see, but get a mirror. once you see it it will be obvious.

The plug should have a BIG foam thing around it, the plastic part that broke off is in this big foam thing, the metal part is in the block hopefully. pull that plug thing out of the foam and then there is a clip like the rest of the connections on the car that you just pull apart.

Push on the wires and pull that plastic thing out. real simple once you figure it out. and that foam slips back over the new one. you will have to leave the foam pushed back so you can get a wrench on the 'head' of the new sensor. and remember to put some teflon tape on there....
