Did I get everything?

Removed my air pump system, I plugged the lines going into the headers, plugged the little solenoid that hangs by the air pump and I plugged the hole in the air intake, now my car is bogging and backfiring, did I miss a vacuum line somewhere?

Re: Did I get everything?

I unplugged the AIR pump and pulled it out of the way, fittings on the headers were plugged. I removed all the air lines that went from the pump to the headers along with the metal tube, when I removed the line that feeds the pump from the intake tract, I sealed it up.

If you did all these things and the car is running bad, you probably forgot to plug something back in, or may have accidentally disconnected something. You did leave the AIR pump fuse in right?

What "little solenoid that hangs by the AIR pump"? The 94 does not have anything like that. You might want to figure out what you actually disconnected.

Are you sure the connections on the manifold (or headers) are totally sealed? That will cause a major problem with the O2 sensors if they aren't completely sealed.

There's nothing else involved with the 94 AIR system. You need to find out what solenoid you disconnected.

whatever it is it had a small vacuum line that ran from the air pump to it, it sits in between the fender and the pump it's got some other lines coming off it, when it quits raining I'll go see where they go.

Re: Did I get everything?

Alomost sounds like someone put a 96/97 AIR system on it, or tried to do the "AIR Recall" mods on it. But the AIR Recall only applied to 95 and newer cars.

Is it any of the components, like the "vacuum solenoid" or "air bleed harness" shown on this diagram (courtesy of Shoebox):

According to that diagram it's the bleed valve, evxcept it says only 96-97 but that's right where it is andd it looks just like that. What do you think that means?

Now to top it all off my car has turned into a boat anchor it has a lot of trouble getting over 2,000 rpms, it will barely get up to almost 2500 in 1st and 2nd gear after that 2000 rpms is a dream, what the hell?
