Did clutch install, now have weird noise.

Installed a mcleod single disc with an slp pressure plate and a new master cylinder. The car drives great but at about 1500-2500rpms under load in 3rd 4th and 5th it makes meshing noise that is not real loud but it is noticable. My pilot bearing on my last clutch took a crap. What could be the cause of this noise?

More of a meshing of the gears type sound. Doesn't sound like a really loud grind but it sounds like i am driving without the car being fully in gear when it is. Kinda like if you are in gear driving and you push the shifter real hard against the stopper.

Might want to check the fluid level in the tranny. Also did you put some grease on the inside of the new pilot bushing/bearing, fork piviot and on the end of the imput shaft?

Yes i put lots of lube on the inside of the pilot bearing. I filled the tranny with fluid not too long ago and it doesn't leak, so i just didn't bother to check it. Even if it was 1 quart low would it do something like this? I guess tomorrow after work i will have to jack the car back up and check the fluid.

my 95 does that also, I have about 30k miles on the df centerforce.. recently checked (about 4k miles ago) everything looks good.. so it may not be anything bad. Dont know what actually causes it though.

I installed an ES tranny mount at the same time, so who knows what it is. Too many variables.
