Question diagnostic or computer scan

Where can i get my computer scanned for codes for a cheap price? I Live in Southern California, in riverside county. Autozone isn't aloud to scan anymore. Thanks

You might want to tell us what year your car is... makes a difference. 93's can be scanned by you, by shorting the ALDL pins. 94 can be scanned with an OBD-I scanner like AutoXray. 95 is the same, but requires a special connector, because even though the computer is OBD-I, the ALDL connector is OBD-II. This confuses the guys at AutoZone. 96/97 are pure OBD-II.

Suggest you add a "signature" showing the year of your car, tranny, any significant mods.... makes it easier for people to give you an accurate answer.
