And then there was one. No more MBA. On the plus side, my MBA coil brackets are now a rare item.

Have you had any issues with the conversion and the OBD2 computer?

It won't matter. The computer doesn't care if you're running the distributor or the coils. Mine was converted to OBD1 long before I installed the LTCC though, easier to tune with a blower (cheaper too).

I agree too. However only having to pass an OBD2 readiness test for emmissions avoiding having the car sniffed has advantages too

FYI
The delteq system does not effect anything to do with emissions (even the tougher ob2 scans) the pcm has no idea it’s there. (on top of that there is no modifcation to any of the wiring harness so most emissions places look right past the unit becasue it looks so stock (that's if you do not put the sticker on the coils) also if you take the radiator mount version they won't see it at all.

I went with the Delteq and am compleltly satisfied. Easy to install, great customer service and boxed, ready-to-go. Although i haven't heard anything bad about the LTCC either. Can't go wrong either way.

Re: delteq or ltcc

So i'm guessing the LTCC box just mounts where the opti used to be? How weather proof is it? Anyone had it for 6 months or longer on a DD?

I will end up with one of these systems, just would like to see if any problems came up in the long run.

The opti is retained, the LTCC is mounted wherever you like. Some have mounted it on the firewall, some on the radiator core support, some on the inner fender.

It is weatherproof. Many are driven daily for years.

no, the opti has to stay in place, you still need the optical sensor portion, the LTCC box gets mounted where ever you want to put it, the the (8) coil packs(from a LSx) get mounted where you decide as well

I've been running mine for over a year now with no problems.

The hardest part really is figuring out how to mount the coils.

Ive had mine for quite some time now and my only complaint is that i didnt buy it earlier!!! ZERO PROBLEMS what so ever!!!!!

Awesome Product.

I mounted my box underneath the fuse box on my Z28 and reworked the wireloom a little and mounted the coils on the valve covers with some brackets that i custom made.

You can see pics of my install and car here:
