Re: delteq or ltcc

Well its been a few months I was just wondering what the latest in the LTCCvs Deltec battle. I hate to do away with my Dig-6 But it seems that the LTCC is going to be my choice b/c I dont mind about the wire clutter, and I need its built in options that I was using the digital 6 for in the first place, the timing retard for the Nitrous and the 2-step for a transbrake. I am just wondering if any developments have taken place since this thread started. Maybe something with the stage 2 LTCC?

But if I do decide that I want the Deltec, I have to get the DIS-4 for the use of a 2-step and automatic timing retard when 12 volts is applied right?

Re: delteq or ltcc

Where can I see pics and get price info for the LTCC I'm getting ready to install my 383 in my car and I still need plug wires and someone's ignition setup. But after reading this post I would rather spend the money once and get the LTCC.
Which coils are the strongest, LS1's or what?

Re: delteq or ltcc

I ran a search on LTCC and came up with tons of post.

I suggest doing a search in the LT1 forum, many people have the system. And a decent amount have posted pics.

Just my .02,
Mike

Re: delteq or ltcc

There is lots of stuff on the board,

www.bailey-eng.com has some stuff also (if you'll pardon the primitive site)

The LTCC has not changed, but I have done some custom rev limiter programming for some guys.

The various coils are very close in performance IMO, but the choices for mounting are better for the LS1 coils.

Hey Bob, did you guys ever finish making the valve cover mounts you were working on for the coils?

Re: delteq or ltcc

With such a little box how is the 2step set and adjusted and how is the timing retard function set and maintained? I didnt see any dials in any of the pics I have seen.

Re: delteq or ltcc

You gotta take the top cover off the box (4 screws) and the dials and dip switches are inside.

There were 2 other guys that were going to make brackets, but they never finished them. There are 2 brackets available right now, MBA, and Sun Spec Billet.

The MBA mounts the coils over the injectors, the Sun Spec brackets mount to the valve covers.

There are some pics on my web page.

Re: delteq or ltcc

How much are the Sun Spec brackets and where can I pick them up? They gotta be cheaper than the MBA brackets which I can't afford.

Richi at Sun Spec can make them for you. 573-346-6929

That phone number is a year old or so, but is the most recent I have for him.

Re: delteq or ltcc

I just called Richi, that number is still good.

$150.00 for brackets for both sides

$15.00 for spark plug wire, bracket holders, to keep the wires off the headers
