Delco tape deck losing pitch?

I've noticed lately that my stock Delco tape deck is losing it's pitch and when I eject the tape and stick it back in it goes back to normal for a pick and then loses the pitch again.

Is there a solution to this problem or is my deck just dying?

It's been a long time since I worked on a cassette deck but I'd say it's on it's way out. The belts and cogs that drive the tape strech over time and need replaced. I'd buy a CD and move on.
