There's nothing wrong with a platinum plug in a non-power adder engine. The platinum NGK's seem to last..... maybe that's why GM put them in my 2001 Silverado at the factory . Avoid gimmick plugs like the Bosch +2's and +4's. I've also had good results with NGK, Autolite and Champion non-platinum plugs, but non-platinum will require more frequent replacement.

Yippee! The stock Delcos suck. Replace with NGK TR6 and be happy for life. Go Iridium if you don't care to replace plugs. Done deal.
