well it didnt happen till i replaced the clutch...at first i thought it was the clutch...or flywheel..so i had the flywheel resurfaced and the PP zero balanced. still no change...it only starts to vibrate (you can hear it) at around 5k. and up..below that its so damn smooth. i know the tranny mount is the original and has a tear in it.but its not ripped...however when i hit the gas the shifter moves up about an inch. what do you guys thing it could be from? motor mounts maybe? oh..it does it at the same rpm in every gear and it does it with the clutch pushed in and with the clutch let out in neutral. so its DEF NOT. the driveshaft cuz speed doesnt affect it. anyone????????????????????????

 

Well, since you can see a tear in the trans mount and the shifter moves up an inch when you nail it, I know that ain't right. Why don't you just replace the mount to see if it helps, it's not that expensive.

 

Make that two votes for the tranny mount. Even if it doesn't solve it, it needs to be changed anyways.

 

Im thinking drive shaft, try taking it off and turning it 180 deg then putting it back on, I know that was the problem with mine once.

Also try buying a new U-Joint, when mine started going bad i got a vibration right around 45 and it got worse up till around 80 then got better after that.

Anyways try those 2 things, one is free and the other is under $20

 

it goes it when the car is at a stop..or while going..or in neutral when revving up or when the clutch is in in any gear..thats why the driveshaft or anything related is out. cuz its not spinning at a stop..it doesnt do it related to speed it does it related to rpm.

 

check the balancer, i have heard of then getting lose and putting everything out of balance

 

i know i bent it a little bit..one of the inner lips..but it still didnt vibrate like that when i had the old clutch in..once i changed the clutch it started..and it feels like its coming from the tranny...
