deck surface

what do u guys use to clean the surface of the block where the heads go. i dont wanna mess anything up?

I scrape with a razor blade and use brake cleaner. If it's an assembled motor and not a bare block, do not get spary brake cleaner down into the motor. Use it on a rag.
