Decisions, Decisions--New Vette or Stroker

I'm having a hard time deciding what to do buy a new 03 Vette or
build a stroker for my Z, just looking for some opinions.

Thumbs up

03 vette...wait till you have some extra income then put a few mods on it and you'll have a ho' slappin car. Agreed on anything those guys above me said. I wouldnt get a horribly loud exhaust but definantely one that flows better and gives it a good sound without the roar. More of a european dare I say?

I vote for the vette. You cant compare a vette and a stroker IMO. A newer vette wins hands down. I say save up and get a Z06

Do you want a vette just to have a vette? Do you want to terrorize the streets? The vette won't, a good stroker might be able to.

My vote would be to go with the stroker. Yeah a vette is a sweet car but you will get bored of the power. Then you will want to start modding your vette and last time I say vettes are very expensive to mod.

Bored of the power? Throwing just a cam in there and you can easily hit over 390RW. Heads cam and you can hit 460+ RW, whats boring? Look at the insurance and finance stuff realstically though, thats why I might suggest older.

Stroker would be nice, and could cost you alot less in the long run, so figure what you really want. The Vette though is tempting for many reasons, I suppose it depends what you want out of a car.

I'd usually say stick with the f-bod and stroke it but in this case, get the brand new car with a WARRANTY as opposed to reliability problems of a heavily modded car. It may take a while to break the bank for mods on the vette but oh well. I'd be plenty happy though if I could say I have the money for a stroker

Do you like loud obnoxious cars? 12 bolt, stroker, rump rump sound? Or do you like a quiet stealth look with leather that runs high 11's at 118?

Its your choice. Of course the financing arrangements are totally different... You could have your car professionally done by a top of the line professional shop for probably half of the cost of a Z06...

Vette = prolly more girls (pick the right color)
stroker= more fun for you
z06=girls and more fun (again the right color)

You make the decision haha
I vote for the vette, not just cuz of the girls, but just to have a quiet fast car to cruise in

Just imagine, some handling, braking, and horsepower - in a heads/cam Vette. American Supercar. While it still wont say Ferrari on the side, how much closer are most of us going to get.

Go with the vette. It is one bad car. My dad's got a 90 vette, and nothing hugs the road like a vetter
