Decided to get Jet Hot L/ts

I have a few questions. Should I get the emission headers or not? Any benefits of keeping egr and air, any benefits from not having them? Also what y pipe should I get? Will hooker l/t y pipe fit the jet hots also? And one last question I want to order them from FBody Motorsports.com anyone had any experiences with them good or bad?

I got mine with A.I.R and EGR fittings from mascperformance.com. I didn't want to deal with taking all of that stuff out. I haven't heard of any benefits from removing all that stuff. As for the y-pipe; I had an exhaust shop make me an off road one for $100. I head u can use the hooker y-pipe, but there is some cutting and modifying involved. It's up to you whre you decide to get them. mascperformance.com was awsome and had great communication with me.

Great headers. Depending on your emissions laws, that should tell you whether or not you need A.I.R. and EGR provisions.

If you need emissions, then you have to get the headers with fittings. I did not need emissions, so I got them without. I have taken all my egr stuff off because it just looks better. It really cleans up the engine compartment. Also, I think the headers look better without egr connections. I just installed the LT's Sunday, and I am going to the muffler shop tomorrow or Friday. I am going to have a true dual exhaust with a x-pipe and bullet mufflers put on. If I were you, I would have the muffler shop just fab a y-pipe for you. The ready made y-pipes don't always fit right. Plus the muffler shop will warrantee their y-pipe.JMO

I live in Ky so we don't have emissions, but I went ahead and ordered the emission headers anyway. I guess I can block the egr and air if I want to delete these. Fbodymotorsports has great deal on the jet hots $499. Everywhere else I looked was $100 higher.

Not to bust your bubble, but I bought mine from Jet-hot for $499.00 two months ago. They were not even on sale. The headers look very sweet in my car. I have not even started it yet. Still go some bugs to work out.

I have the Hooker y-pipe and would not do it again. I would get a custom y-pipe made which could eliminate some interference issues that you will get with the Hooker.

Curly, what kinda hp are you getting out of that cam with those headers?

I just put Jet-hot LT's on my car. I think my cam maybe a little big for what I got.

I had my previous y-pipe modified. Worked great.

I have not put the cam in yet...... I've been chicken to take the engine apart to put it in . It's quietly waiting for it's day and it's day is getting closer!! I would like to throw it in before the end of the summer. I have heard on stock heads around 350 HP is what I should look for.

Our mods look very similar and with the CC306 and the mods in sig i put down 351rwhp/365rwtq.

I also did the Jet Hot LTs (non emissions-MN) and the Hooker off road y-pipe and we had to do some minor cutting (about 1.5" off each intermediate pipe) to make them fit.

Edit: NM, I just read your mod list and saw 355 etc. I was looking at Curly's sig.
