I have 172k miles on my car, I know my shocks are done. Are these any good?

They are the stock shocks, taken off the cars SLP converted to SS's and Firehawks. They have less than 5 miles on them. A very good deal if you liked the original shocks.

I, and many other people do not like them.

Get some Koni's, KYB's, or Bilsteins. You'll be much happier.
Or if money is tight just get the stock shocks,it will feel like night and day, since yours are done!!

So these are better then 95 Z28 stock shocks (even new), there are just SLP SS Shocks. Correct?

No, they are the stock OEM shocks. SLP takes the stock shocks off of the cars and puts SLP spec shocks in place of them. I have the SLP takeoffs and they fit the bill. Pretty cheap and I know you'll like them better than the 172k mile ones you have now.

So are these the same shocks that also come on the WS6 package?

Are you sure about that? Are they out of the LT1 shocks? I've bought a couple sets and they were the LT1 take off shocks.

Also, I bought mine for $28 shipped (more expensive now I believe) and while I know they aren't nearly as good as the Bilstein shocks, they are a bit cheaper which in my case made them the good choice

SLP at http://www.slpeng.com/. A great bargain replacement for worn stockers. Do they still have them since there are no more new SS cars?

I ordered a set when SLP decided to retail these take off shocks back in late 98 or early 99. I can't recall. I bought them and sstill have them stored. Anyway the price then was like $15-20. At the initial price they are a great deal. They apparently sold quickly and the SLP jacked the price. They are Z28 (and base level SS) stock shocks. The early batches would have come from LT1 cars, but not the later sets.

I also ordered a set of these last year for my 95Z. A good deal, and replacement.
