Unhappy dead spot on starter

hey guys, my 96z has a problem car usually starts fine but every once in a while it will just click when you turn the key. then if i push start the car and shut it off it works fine again. can this be fixed without replacing the starter?

i dont think its the clutch start swith because i can hear it click when i try to start it. any info would be appericiated.

thanks, scott

Are you sure it isn't just a lousy battery?

Doesnt start sometimes

Thats weird...mine does somehting along the same lines as yours. I have a brand new batter right, and when I go to start it...nothing. No click, no turning over just flat out dead like a stang on the road...whats that mean?

dead spot on starter

my battery is showing 12.35 volts and 14.2 with the car running.
plus all the lights, radio and other stuff work. it runs when i push start the car. after that it will work fine for about a month and then bingo here we go again. i'm puzzled so if anyone figures what causes this please keep me informed.

thanks,scott
