i don't want to run a cam any bigger than the 227 crane.

 

I wouldn't be affraid to run it. Ya can always put a boost timing control and retard the timing a little in hot weather. I don't think ya will have any problem with a GOOD tune and 92. In fact I am running more than that but built the engine and car knowing it would be high. GOOD cooling helps too.
