DART lt1 track times
i figured id let everyone know what these heads will do out of the box.
These are untouched from the factory dart castings.
they are on a budget 383 ebay rods , scat 9000 crank, keith black forged pistons.
Cam is a cc306
drivetrain is 4l60e with a 3600 tci converter and a STOCK ten bolt with 3.73.
car ran a 11.749 @ 113.6 with a 1.59 60ft
and do note the car was having issues with the 2-3 shift bouncing the revs a couple times before it would shift
either way im very satisfied with the out of the box performance of these heads
and on one of the passes i was running dead even with an le2 car with a bigger bret bauer cam ... just for comparrison
he did have 1.5 more mph but it was a pretty hot day as well
hopefully this helps some of you who cant decide what heads to go with make that decision
UPDATE
finally got the car to the track on a decent night without 80 degree temps.
and got the 2-3 shift working on motor
car went an 11.35 @ 119.94 mph with a 1.57 60ft
it bested a 121mph on motor[ as well
so need less to say i was pretty impressed with the as cast dart lt1 heads
temp was right around 60 degrees and my race weight was 3500lbs

Good info and good job.
That trap speed and weight computes very close to the engine dyno power my 383LT1 with box-stock Dart LT1 heads and GM 846 cam (crane 109831) made.
440hp and 450ft-lb
For the weather conditions you had I'd say you have dang near the same power (or more).
When you run that sukka in the cold air you'll see 118mph trust me.

i need to put the car and myself for that matter on a serious diet as well
but only time will tell whats gonna happen i still have to get the tranny sorted out
but thank you for the info its good to have a rough idea of my power output

Not bad at all. Sounds like i can improve a good bit with 3.73's. i have 3.42's and do slightly better 60' at 1.55 and run 11.47 at 118.5. I have hit 119.1 before tho, still in the hot summer days. if i could get my trans shifting quick like it should, sounds like gears will really help me
good job!
