I know just what you went through--scares the hell out of you when your not expecting it.... When I was doing my heads/cam, I was under my car trying to get the radiator out. Not knowing what it was, I decided to disconnect the AC condenssor line--guess I didn't see that it went under the radiator. After a few good turns with the ole wrench, all hell broke loose! I got it right in the face, then like an idiot I grabbed the line (without gloves) and tried to put it back on . Ended up with a chemical burns on my hands and face --not a good start to the project.

In your case, just put your line back together--the less moisture you get in there the better. I took mine to a local shop and they charged just over $100 to recharge it.
