Header Install Question

I just purchased a set of Kooks Long tube headers for my 93 T/A. These are racing headers. Are there tuning issues involved with the install of these headers, and will I Pass NJ Emissions?

If you have visual inspections you will fail. 1 because you move the cat, and 2 i don't believe they have any emissions fitting on those heads but i could be wrong on the last one.

Re: Header Install Question

how do they really know that u moved the cat? i doubt they know where the stock location is. i think u'd pass as long as they see u have the emissions fittings and a cat. Anyone know if this is true?

Re: Header Install Question

My DMV is dumb and probably would pass you. Removing the AIR or EGR though and having Long tubes will cause you to fail in theory.
