D-Day has arrived for my Bolt-On LT1!!!

Finally after months of being undecided I will be entering the realm of the cam-stock heads guys.

I am purchasing the XE 224/230 112 LSA cam, Comp R Lifters, and a Cloyes True Roller Timing Chain. I already have on the car the 10308-1 Crane Springs, OBD1 LT1 Edit, 3000 TCI Converter, 1.6 RR's, 3.73 gears and Headers. If you would like to see a full list of what I have take a look in my sig.

I never really got to get my car set-up with the new suspension so I still have only ran a best of 12.94 @104.60 MPH with bolt-ons. I am looking to from 290 RWHP to about 325 RWHP and somewhere around 365 RWTQ up from 347. I am also hoping to get some times around 12.5xx@108+MPH. We will see. I will keep you guys updated but I should have my Dyno Numbers on June 14th our Dyno Day here in San Antonio.

Any last thoughts on my next project?

Before you get that Cloyes chain, look at cmmotorsports. They are a sponsor and have a brand new stronger chain for way cheaper. Until May 31 it is like $55. After it is like $79. Look for it in the GP section.

From what I understood the chain and cam sprocket are very similar, but the crank gear is hardened to fight wear.

I don't know, I think D-Day is the day you turn the key for the first time after the install is complete. Nothing beats every head in an auto shop turning your way when you start your cammed car. Well, nothing except perhaps when you romp on it the first time after everything is broken in properly. Now I know what "sideways into third" feels like.
