Talk to Baron4406 and he'll tell you about cut-outs, right Brian?

IMO cut-outs are worthless and over rated, but everyone knows cutouts dont help GMMG owners.

With your car I would say no. If you run with the open plate in the car it is just like a cutout. I believe you were looking the cutout that goes between the I-pipe and the tip on the Borla exhaust....DMH i think. That gives you the option to run it open or closed, which is cool. A normal cutout though would be a waste of money.

GMMG owners don't count you know that. For a stock car it helps out a lot. I have heard incredible e/t's woth just a cut-out and k&n filter. But you should ask someone more experienced.

Because they already a true dual system. So there isn't much holding it back.

It's becuase when I spoke to the tech's GMMG before I got mine, I wanted to know how well it flowed and such. They told me a story of a man who owned a big block drag car running a GMMG. He tried a cutout for that little extra power but when he dyno'ed the gains were fractional.

GMMG is one badass system, some think its too expensive, but hey, at least I know I dont have to use a cutout with my system and its probably the best flowing out there. But for sure the best sounding to me

CamaroSS30thAnn You'll love the GMMG, I just drove 10 hours yesterday and I could control wether I wanted to be loud and agressive like when I was toying the Neon SXT or somewhat quiet when my girlfriend was sleeping. Its a truely unique and awesome system, like none other for our cars.

Forget the cutout, Baron4406 actually ran slower in the quarter mile with it open and he has FLOWMASTER, OMG!!!

268 RWHP vs. 274 RWHP and 318 rwtq vs. 319 RWTQ on a stock car for me. Definetly worth $30 if you dont have a free flowing catback(IE BORLA or GMMG). Not worth it IMO if you have those 2 catbacks though. Also went 14.3 vs 13.9 within 2 weeks of each other.

I say its definetely worth it.

DMH cutout is definitely worth it. You go from stock to roaring in about 3 seconds, with the push of a button. I really have no idea why anybody would choose a Borla exhaust over a DMH cutout in the first place, unless you either REALLY like those exhaust tips, or you just want to brag that you have a newer catback exhaust, which you don't use anyway.

I've got the qtec that's made for the Borla. As stated above, it replaces the power plate and is very cool. No it doesn't give more hp that running the Borla without a plate (which I did for years...). What it does do is let you quiet down the exhaust if you want by closing the cutout and forcing the exhaust through the muffler. I've got the switch in the dash and if a cop pulls up next to me, I just flick the switch and it quiets down. (not as much as some would like on my setup... )

I'd say that .2 on your ET is definitly worth the $30. I have the flowtech manual cut-out and I love it. My car went from mean to scary-bears for a whopping $45 with install. It's definitly worth it for the performance and sound.
