Cut outs ons the y pipe?

Do you think it would be okay to put a cut out on each part of my stock Y Pipe. I plan on getting headers, but till then do you think it would work best to put the cut outs on the Y pipes?

I don't think there is room on the y-pipe. Just mount them behind the headers when you get them.

That would be pretty much like open headers. It won't run well.

Yea I think I am going to put it on right after the cat. I had just bought a cut out from pep boys and it came as a package of two cutouts, so I was just looking for a way to utilize them both.
