If you get a e-cutout either get a DMH or Qtec. The DMH is the best out of the 2. Don't get a Mccord cutout though. People have a lot of problems with the motors dieing on them and there customer service is horrible

my issue with cutouts isnt how loud they are, but how horrible they sound... personally i think full exhaust sounds the best... and if it isnt loud enough head and cam it....

or just save $120+ bucks, but a flowtech cutout and spend 30 seconds or however long it takes you to screw on 3 wing nuts.

Those are the old school cut outs and are most likely made of cast iron. I think they are only made for like a 2 1/4 inch pipe so it wouldn't work.

I love the sound of mine open but with SLP headers and no cat it is too loud for me to drive around town with. I've got the McCord Power Plate and "so far so good" (6 months) and it's nice to be able to flip a switch at the track or on the street when I'm in the mood.

dude, im telling you, save your money, buy a $30 cutout and take the extra 30 seconds to cap it by hand....yeah, the eletric is cool, but IMO its not worth $150 for something that will stay open for a majority of the time. Since ive had mine, ive capped it once, and that was for smog. Use the extra hundred bucks to buy a CAI or something

good call on that, a lot of my friends have flowtech or just a $30 cutout from jegs that they like and they keep it off the majority of the time, i however was involved in the DMH elec. cutout group purchase ,so i got that and a 3" flowtech and cant wait til the spring , hooker LT's + elec cutout - cat = fun and the hooker cat back when the ladies are ridin along

I had a cut out on my 94z with no cat and headers. The car also had a hot cam and it sounded so mean running with the cut out uncapped. I did get sick of the interior rattling. I also think it was affecting my hearing

Now i can even hear kinda like a cam lope at idle with it open, so i think it will stay open about 80% of the time.
