custom made y pipe

i'm thinking about getting hooker headers cause that's what most people seem to like and they are relatively cheap too. i know you can get the mufflex y pipe but i want cats in mine. would i be better off going with a custom y or getting the mufflex y and having a shop weld some cats in? the reason i ask is in the end, i'll be look for around 550-600 rwhp via h/c and stroker and/or nitrous. i wasn't sure if a non mandrel bent y would be the best idea for flowing that much exhaust. if i do get a custom one made, what size pipes should i use?

hooker longtube headers are the way to go. the mufflex y-pipe is not. it sits too low to the ground pluss it cost to much. should cost $200-$250 to get a ypipe with cats made, the hardest part will be getting the cats to fit. if your looking to make over 400 at the wheels go with 3" pipe.
