csi electric WP question

I recently installed a csi On my 97 Z, works great, anyway the question I have is about the snorkel coming off the bottom of the intake boot, its right in the way of the water pump. I turned it around backwards, and it seems to work fine but its not properly attached, and if I lose the snorkel over some bumps the engine will barely run without it. Anybody come up with any good soloutions? I have it ziptied for now, but a little ghetto for me...

Another question is should I be using the stock thermostat or just a resrictor plate, and what size if so?

Stock or 160 thermostat is fine. Cut the snorkel OFF. Stick a pert cap, or deoderant cap in there, and use some plastic cement to seal it all the way around.

Or get a 1LE elbow. It doesn't have the donkey dong port.

I used aluminum speed tape on the hole.
