CSI Electric WP question

Here's the deal i put a CSI electric water pump in my car this spring and it has run about 20-25 degrees hotter ever since. Before it would never get above 210-215 on a very hot day and now it gets to 230 to 240 on hot days. I was running a 160 stat and have switched to a 180 with no change. I even installed a 3/4" restrictor in place of the stat and it still gets hot! Anyone with a CSI wp have the same problem with there car?

I put my CSI on about a month ago, and my car NEVER gets hot. Even in 90 degree heat, in traffic, it doesn't go above 190 degrees. Are you sure you bled the cooling system correctly?

What mix of antifrezze and water did you use?I did notice about 8-10* hotter after my csi pump. And like 12SCNDZ Said make sure you bleed the system open the bleeders with the car off untill water streams out make sure you cover the opti up so it dont get wet. After you do that make sure you top off the radiator and make sure your resovor is full. Good Luck

The way i bleed the system is turn the key to the on position so the pump is pumping and open the bleeder screw until coolant comes out, This is the right way right?

As far as the mixture of antifreeze and water i quess i went 50/50 or 60/40, What is the correct mixture?

You need to leave the pump off when bleeding it will just suck the air in.

50/50 is ideal for cold winters but hot summers 75/25 but that will not be ideal for anything that gets below 10*
