Crankshaft Pulley Bolts Removal?
Im having trouble keeping the crankshaft pulley from moving while i try to remove the 3 bolts. Is there any tips that you guys can give me? Im trying to change the opti. My car is an automatic.
Re: Crankshaft Pulley Bolts Removal?
Impact wrench works wonders.
Or take off the converter inspection cover (4 bolts) and wedge a block of wood in the flywheel (just don't forget to take it out).

Im taking it you dont have any air tools?
Well if you put a socket on the crankshaft bolt in the center, this will give you a good grasp on the hub not turning. then break the 3 bolts loose, PB blaster will be your friend if you let it soak for 10 min with a few blast while waiting.
Wedging wood into the converter area is not a good idea in my opinion. But every one has there own way of doing it without the proper tools. good luck with what ever you choose
