cranking problem
cranking problem
when my car hasnt been run for about over an hour it has a hard time starting. i turn the key and it shoulds like the starter is hitting fine but it just wont turn over. if the car has ran for a little bit and i turn it off and turn it right back on it starts fine.
Re: cranking problem
The next time you have the problem, try holding the throttle to the floor while you crank it. Starting easier now would indicate a fuel leaking issue into the intake.
If that doesn't help the problem, the very next time you have the problem, try cycling power KOEO and then off. Do this 6 times and then start it like normal with out touching the throttle. If it starts easier after this, it indicates the fuel is draining away from the fuel rail and is probably the check ball in the fuel pump causing the problem.
Let us know which way starts easier and we can point you to the problem.
Also check the oil for the smell of fuel just in case.
