crank HUB TDC arrow???
crank HUB TDC arrow???
My question, short and easy.
Do I have to take off the crank hub pulley to see the crank hub arrow for TDC??? Or is it located where I can see it with the pulley on? I don't want to use the pulley "dot" because I've had it off before and it's probably not orientated right.

Re: crank HUB TDC arrow???
The arrow is cast onto part # 42 in this pic, between two of the mounting holes. (pic thanks to Shoebox)

Be aware, the hub is not keyed; so it can spin on the crank causing it to be off from TDC.
Thomas.

Re: crank HUB TDC arrow???
thanks for the wealth of info.
Looks like good news because I've never had the crank HUB off and I can use the mark on their to find TDC.
I'm just using it for valve lash, doesn't have to be 100% accurate.
