Crank Hub removal...

Trying to take the Hub off of my crank, I removed the three bolts and everything I've read says it just comes right off, no. Tapped it with a hammer, no. Any helpful hints are much appreciated.

You will need a puller. It's an interference fit with the crank.

There are several threads on how to pull it. It's also on Shoebox's site.

Wait...are you talking about the damper or the hub? The damper bolts to the hub and can get rusted to it.

Damper, I removed the three bolts that hold it, left the center one in that holds the snout, I'm just puting on an underdrive pulley.

Use a good penetrating oil where the hub and damper meet. Rap the 3 prongs of damper with a hammer. You can rap on the outer edge of the damper, but don't get crazy with it. If that does not get it you may have to get a puller for prongs(I would not use a puller on the outer edge of the damper...could destroy it).

Hehe, make sure it does not hit you when it finally moves.

Use a 3-jaw puller with the claws on the inside of the pulley.
