Crank hub help?!?!
Crank hub help?!?!
i know theres been about a million posts on this subject but i still cant figure out what im doing wrong. I got the balancer off with the 3 prong puller and now im trying to get the hub off with the puller that threads into the 3 balancer holes and i cant get it to budge. i used a bolt to bottom out on the crank that the puller can push against which is what i gathered im supposto do from the other posts but it still wont move???someone please tell me if im doing this wrong or if there is an easier way because i have been at this for hours and im starting to get pissed. Thanks
Sounds like you've got it right...have a bolt threaded a couple/few threads into the crank snout and pushing against that to pull the hub off?
If all else fails, get the torch
j/k, don't know if that is a bad idea or not.

make sure the bolt that your using doesnt have a big enough head on it that its acting like the stock bolt/washer and holding it on the crank. do you know what Im trying to say? as in make sure the bolt is small enough to pass through the hub if it was off. even I made that mistake before.
I assume you have removed the bolt and washer inside the hub that bolts the hub to the crank, no flame intented. What I did was use a 3/8 extension inside the hub and crows foot puller, applied heat via propane torch and it finally budged. I bent a few bolts in the begining until I used the extension, work like a charm. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure how to help you with what you need. Sorry.
