Crank Hub On Far Enough???
Crank Hub On Far Enough???
New to this engine and I have a couple of questions.
I just installed my crank dampner, and I have a few questions.
I did not realize it but I did not put it on with the arrow at the top at TDC (It was about at 1 o'clock). Will this cause a balance problem?
Second, how can I tell that I have the hub all of the way on? I tried putting the pulley on but it looks like the pulley does not line up with the tensioner pulley. It does not look like I have a lot of space between the hub and the Opti. I don't want to push it on too far. Very perplexed. Thanks for your help.

It should not cause a balance problem, unless your pulley has weights in some of the holes. You may wish you had put it on with the mark in the right place for things like adjusting valves.
The hub should go as far as it can go and butt against the crank sprocket.
