crank hub balancer clearance issue

The woodruf key on my crank was not long enough to drive the crank position sensor reluctor wheel, so i went with out it and had the cps deleted from the pcm.

but since the balancer went further down the crank snout i have a clearance issue at the balacer hitting the opti.....can i shim the balancer with a washer without screwing up anything? i measured the CPS reluctor wheel and i have a washer the exact thickness. Will it work?

Re: crank hub balancer clearance issue

The shim will work or a hub from a 93 - 95 F-Body.
